Description:
Isotactic Polypropylene is a thermoplastic Resin with regular configuration and high crystallinity (up to 95% crystallinity). The product is a natural colored granular material, non-toxic, tasteless, odorless and light polymer, with a density of 0.90 ～ 0.91g/Cm3, which is the lightest one among general plastics. It has good rigidity, wear resistance, high hardness and high temperature impact (but it drops sharply below - 5 ℃). Strong resistance to repeated folding. It has good heat resistance, thermal deformation temperature of 114 ℃, Vicat softening point of>140 ℃, melting point of 164~167 ℃, continuous use temperature of 110~120 ℃, and use temperature of 150 ℃ under no load. It is the only general plastic product that can be boiled in water and sterilized at 130 ℃. It has good chemical stability and does not react with most chemicals except for strong oxidizing medium. The stability of water is particularly outstanding. It is not only insoluble in water, but also almost does not absorb water. The water absorption rate in water for 24h is only 0.01%. Excellent electrical insulation performance, good voltage resistance and arc resistance. Its main disadvantages are poor light resistance and easy aging; Poor cold resistance, low temperature impact strength, poor toughness, high static electricity, poor dyeing, printing and adhesion, but can be improved by adding additives and co mixing copolymerization.

Application:
1. Household appliances
In recent years, China's household appliance industry has developed rapidly, with many varieties and large output. Some plastic raw material manufacturers in China have developed special materials for washing machines, such as PP 1947 series and K7726 series, which are welcomed by washing machine manufacturers. Therefore, more efforts should be made to develop PP special materials for household appliances in the next few years to meet the changing needs of the market.
2. Plastic pipe
In 2003, the total output of plastic pipes in China exceeded 1.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 23%. In the early days, PP pipes were mainly used as agricultural water pipes. However, due to some problems in the performance of early products (poor impact strength and aging resistance), the market was not opened. There is still a certain gap between domestic PP-R materials and imported materials, and the quality needs to be improved.
3. High permeability material
With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, it is bound to bring different requirements and improvements in culture, entertainment, food, medical treatment, materials, room decoration and other aspects. Many items in the market are increasingly using transparent materials. It is a good development trend to develop transparent PP special materials. PP special materials with high transparency, good fluidity and fast molding are needed in order to design and process PP products loved by adults.
